Mrs. Venesia Johnson, social worker at Spring Valley High School, has been named the 2013 Heart of the Region for Richland, Lexington and Kershaw! This means that she has done a phenomenal job both in applications and in her spirit and passion for helping the students and families she serves. Lauren Carswell, regional coordinator for The Benefit Bank of South Carolina, presented Mrs. Johnson with a silver pig on Wednesday at Spring Valley.
