Varsity Football
The Spring Valley Vikings Varsity Football Team defeated rival Westwood HS 24-14 on homecoming last Friday night. The Vikings are now 4-0 and ranked #6 in the state. The Vikings were led on defense by several outstanding players. DeMarcus Muscove had 4 tackles, 2 pass break ups, 1 Interception and 1 fumble recovery. Josh Harlan had 12 tackles 2 tackles for loss and 1 pass break up. Donovan Palmer had 9 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. Christian Miller had 12 tackles 2 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks. Cooper Gresham was 1-2 on FG's and 3 for 3 on Ext. Pt's. He had 3 kick offs in the end zone.
On Offense the Vikings were led by RB John Millers 289 yards rushing and 2 TD's. The Vikings also got 83 yards rushing by QB Chris Adams, Ryan Lee had 7 rushes for 25 yards and a 20 yard reception, Jordan Miller 5 rushes for 42 yards and 1 TD. The offensive line led by seniors Dustin Bivens led the offense to 466 yards of rushing. 500 yards of total offense. Jordan Foster had a 17 yard reception.
The Vikings will host the South Aiken Thoroughbreds this Friday night.
Senior Christian Miller was invited to the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando, Florida.
Seniors Josh Harlan and John Miller were invited to the NUC All-American Game in Myrtle Beach.
