Dr. Patrick Hawkins has been invited to perform a solo recital at the upcoming national convention of the Historical Keyboard Society of North America. The convention will be held at the National Music Museum on the campus of the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Dr. Hawkins is scheduled to perform music by Maria Hester Park and Franz Joseph Haydn upon a square piano built by the firm of Muzio Clementi in the early 1800s. This summer of 2014, Dr. Hawkins plans on recording a solo CD playing a restored William Geib piano c. 1831. Hats off to Dr. Hawkins!
