SV Girls Cross Country Varsity placed 4th & JV placed 3rd at Boone Invitational

SV varsity football team defeated South Aiken HS Friday night 56-35 to move to 4-1 on the season. Ryan Lee had 9 rushes for 206 yards 3 TD's 1-2 passing for a 25 yd TD pass to Bryson Jones. Ty'Juan Fulton had 9 rushes for 188 yards and 2 TD's and 1 2pt conversion. Kristion Glover and Noah Davis each scored touchdowns. RJ Bacon had 4 Key blocks, 3 Extra Effort plays 3 resulting in TD's. Blair Johnson Graded 90% 9 knockdown blocks, 2 pancakes 4 Key blocks. Cooper Gresham had 4 ext. pts and 1 46 yard punt. On defense the Vikings were led by Interceptions from Cameron Jones and De'Marcus Muscove. Ja'Lon Williams had 2 sacks and DL Henry Brown had big games. Tyler Frazier and Kenan Reid also made big plays for the Vikings Defense. The big play of the game on defense was a blocked punt by Jordan Williams that was returned for a TD by Michael Asbury. The Vikings travel to White Knoll on Friday for their last regular season game.
Girls Cross Country
This weekend the top 13 girls on the cross country team traveled to Boone, NC for the High Country Invitational. The girls had fantastic races, placing 4th in the varsity race and 3rd in the JV race! Congratulations to Claudia Cannon and Breanna Murrin for placing in the top 20 overall in the varsity race and to Annamarie Ringer, Tori Agostini, Paige Waters and Irene Nicholson for placing in the top 20 overall of the JV race.
