Last Friday, the Lady Vikings secured a HUGE win over Ridge View to remain unbeaten and in first place in Region IV AAAA. Junior Christian Hithe led all scorers with 31 points, and 5 rebounds. She was also 6/6 from the Free Throw line. She was followed by Akia Dunlap with 7 points and 5 rebounds, Dominique Hill with 6 points and 4 steals, Shantay Taylor with 5 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. Other scorers were Megan Davis with 5 points and 3 assists. Joi Jones followed with 4 points and 5 rebounds. The Lady Vikings need one more win to secure the Region Title. Next up the Vikings travel to Dutch Fork on Tuesday and host Westwood this Friday at the Valley on Senior Night.

The wrestling team fell in the state playoffs to Goose Creek on Saturday by a score of 48-30. The next event is the lower state individual wrestling tournament beginning Friday, Feb 20th.
