Discovery Student Earns the 2015 Stockholm Junior Water Prize for South Carolina

The Water Environment Association of South Carolina has selected Rakib Siddique as the South Carolina Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) state winner. The Association will sponsor Rakib's accommodations, meals, and travel to the national SJWP competition in Herndon, Virginia June 19-20, 2015. The Stockholm Junior Water Prize is considered the world’s most prestigious youth award for water-related science. Each year, the U.S. national competition brings together some of the brightest high school students from across the country who have a passion for water. Each student will compete to represent the United States at the international competition held in Stockholm, Sweden, and while there, have a little fun with water!  Congratulations to Rakib, his parents, and his research teacher, Mrs. Michelle Spigner.
