Discovery magnet students Jenning Chen (sophomore), Krishna Gorrepati (junior), Revanth Kanumuri (junior), Ronit Kulkarni (junior), and Priyanka Rao (sophomore) have been nominated to serve as South Carolina Representatives to the 2016 American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. They were chosen based on their outstanding performance in both the Written and Oral Presentation categories at the South Carolina Junior Academy of Science (SCJAS) Annual Meeting held in April. By attending this meeting students will have the chance to meet and interact with world-renowned scientists and learn about their research first hand. Students will also have the opportunity to interact with other young scientists like themselves. Congratulations to these students, their parents, and their research teachers, Dr. Joanne Bedlek-Anslow, Mr. Dale Soblo, and Mrs. Michelle Spigner.
