Spring Valley AFJROTC received the Sword of Excellence during the SC AFA awards luncheon on 23 April. The award honors Spring Valley as the SC Air Force Association Outstanding AFJROTC Unit for 2016!! This is the first time since the award's inception that Spring Valley has earned this award, recognizing it as the top AFJROTC unit among 42 SC programs!
