Varsity Football
The Spring Valley Varsity Football team defeated Fort Mill 21-13 Friday night to run their record to 1-0 on the season. The game had an hour and half weather delay in rainy conditions. The Vikings were led on offense by the running of Terrell Jackson who led the Vikings with 118 yards rushing 19 times and had 1 TD. QB Quincy Hill was 4-9 passing for 69 yards and 1 passing TD and rushed 34 yards for 1 TD. Da'Prince Haynes had 3 receptions for 40 yards and 1 TD. The offensive line were led by seniors Jordan Stiffler, Lee Moore and John Sullivan who led the rushing attack to 249 yards rushing. Jake Hamilton was 3-3 on extra points. On Defense the Vikings were led on defense by Da'Prince Haynes with 14 tackles, caused fumble, fumble recovery and 1 sack. Paul Stokes had 10 tackles, fumble recovery and 1 sack.. John Crim had 8 tackles and a sack. Devon Jennings had 6 tackles and 1 sack. Channing Tindall had 4 tackles and 3 sacks.
The Vikings will be on the road this Friday at Lower Richland at 7:30. We need a big crowd to come support your Vikings.
