Varsity Football
The Spring Valley Varsity Football Team defeated River Bluff HS 45-21 this past Friday to run their record to 5-2, 2-1 in region Play. The defense again played very well for the Vikings. The Vikings were led on defense by Marcus Simpson's 60 yard return for a touchdown. Trevon Duckett also had an interception he returned for 50 yards. Shaun Moore had 7 tackles, 1 sack and 1 pass break up. Channing Tindall and Da'Prince Haynes led the Vikings with both recording 13 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. Devin Jennings had 5 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. Bruce Williams had a 42 yard field goal and had 2 punts that averaged 39 yards. Jake Hamilton was perfect on extra points going 6-6. On offense the Vikings had 4 players score touchdowns Quincy hill had 15 carries for 158 yards and 1 TD, Terrell Jackson had 13 rushes for 93 yards and 2 TD's, KeAndre Jones had 5 rushes for 68 yards and 1 TD and Tate I'auolauo. Cameron Thomas had 1 reception for 31 yards and Zach Williams had a good game blocking. Jordan Stiffler, Matthew Branch, Jordan Thomas, John Sullivan and Lee Moore led the offense to rush for 358 yards. 

The Vikings will play undefeated and #1 ranked Dutch Fork this Friday in a big region game.
This week is Homecoming  The B Team and JV will travel to Dutch Fork.

JV Team will play at 7:30

JV Football
Last Thursday night the JV football team defeated River Bluff High School 35-7 at Harry Parone Stadium. The Captains were Justice Parker and Brice Anderson. 

There were several highlights from Last Thursday, including 3 touchdowns by Jacquez Terrell, a 70 yard touchdown run by Alex Haigler, and a 60 yard pass reception from Alex Hererra to Quinard Cox for a touchdown. On defense, Rodney Young had tackles for losses, Deontre Rose had tackles for losses, and CJ Barnes, Aiden Long, and Jeremiah Hammonds each sacked the Quarterback at different points in the game.
