As the school year continues, many families will begin to think about college admissions. This process can be overwhelming for many families. To better equip families during this process, Kaplan would like to invite the parents of Spring Valley High to participate in a Live Online panel discussion, “More Than Grades: A Discussion on Your Child’s College Admissions Journey,” on November 30 at 7 PM ET—and you can participate anywhere you have an internet connection.
During this live 60-minute panel discussion moderated by Lorin Thomas-Tavel, COO of Kaplan Test Prep, we will explore the college admissions topics most important to parents, including a general overview about the application process for students and exclusive Q&A with college admissions experts. Our virtual guest panelists will include:
- Harlan Cohen, the New York Times bestselling author of the book, “The Naked Roommate: And 107 Other Issues You Might Run Into in College”
- Delorean Menifee, Director of Admissions, Butler University
- Lee Weiss, Vice President Pre-College & K12 Programs, Kaplan Test Prep
Our aim is that this Live Online panel discussion will help parents and families become more confident and informed as they embark on their college admissions goals.
To register and receive event reminders, families can visit bit.ly/morethangrades. Participants will also be able to submit their questions for discussion about college admissions at this link as well. Space is limited, so we encourage families to register as soon as possib
