Grader/ Instructor Assistant
Kumon of Columbia- Spring Valley
We have a part-time opening for a Grader/Instructor Assistant.
Must be able to work Monday & Thursday from 3:30 to 8:00pm.
Kumon is the world's largest after-school Math and Reading program for children 3 years old to 12th grade.
Job Description:
Must be reliable and enjoy working with children (age 3 – 12th grade) in a classroom setting. Graders are expected to accurately grade completed worksheets, assist the instructor in providing instruction, and ensure the instructor is aware of necessary information regarding student performance. Additional responsibilities include organizing and managing the classroom. Training will be provided.
Class hours are Monday & Thursday from 3:30pm to 8:00pm. You must be available during these times. Additional hours are available during the other weekday afternoons.
*All employees will start at minimum wage. Employees will be periodically reviewed and raises to hourly pay rates will be assigned at the discretion of the Instructor.
Requirements:
- Strong Math and Reading aptitude
- Exceptional time management skills
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prompt, reliable, flexible, and well organized
Additional consideration for:
- Prior experience as a Kumon assistant or student
- Early childhood education or related support experience
- Advanced Math and English skills (Calculus AB/BC, AP/IB Language & Comp, Literature & Comp)
