Don't Miss the Deadline!

Tomorrow (Dec. 8th) is the deadline for all 3rd year students to make their test selection for either the ACT on Feb. 27th or the SAT on Mar. 21st.  There is also the option to take neither test, but it must be submitted.  Students who do not submit a selection will take the ACT on Feb. 27th.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Q:  Can I just email my selection?
A:  No, an email will not work.  Either complete the form, sign it, and turn it in at the Main Office OR your parents can make the selection through their Parent Portal account.

Q:  Can I choose both tests for my student?
A:  No, you can only select one...EITHER the ACT or the SAT, but not both.

Q:  If I don't want to test, I don't have to do anything, right?
A:  Wrong... all 3rd year students MUST turn in a form or a parent must make the selection in Parent Portal.  Students who do not turn in a form or do not have a selection through Parent Portal will take the ACT test.

Q:  When is this due?
A:  Selections must be made by December 8th.

Parents of all 3rd Year Students:

Your student should have received a letter about College Readiness Assessments.  This year, your 3rd year student can choose to take EITHER the ACT, the SAT, or not to test.  On the back of the letter, you will need to indicate the selection for your student, sign it, and return it to the main office at Spring Valley NO LATER THAN December 8th!  There is a collection box in the main office for the returned letters.  You can click the link above to print off a copy of the letter if your student does not have one.

Alternately, you can choose to log-in to your Parent Portal account to indicate your preference.  If you choose to make your selection in Parent Portal, do not return the letter.  If you make a selection in Parent Portal, and also return a letter, the selection in Parent Portal will be used for test selection purposes.

If no selection is made (and returned) by December 8th, your student will be assigned to take the ACT.
