Spring Valley’s Quiz Bowl Club sent three teams to the 28th CavChallenge at Dorman High School on January 13th.
Our Varsity A team comprised of (from left to right in picture) Sparsho De (9), Sirawit Shimpalee (9), Isak Jatoi (11), Paul Dubberly (11), and Atifah Jatoi (12), made it to the quarterfinals and narrowly missed advancing to the semifinals round. Isak Jatoi earned the honor of the highest scoring individual in the preliminary rounds. He will be competing in the first Individual Player National Championship Tournament (IPNCT) on Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Chicago, Illinois.
Our Varsity B team comprised of (from left to right in picture) James Andreen (9), Kristina Trifonova (11), Elizabeth Dillon (11), Jasdeep Singh (12), and Paulina Trifonova (9) also had a good showing but did not make it to the playoffs round. Congratulations to all of these brilliant young people!
