American Free Enterprise Day

On Thursday, November 15, the Spring Valley Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter celebrated American Free Enterprise Day. American Free Enterprise Day honors the American Enterprise System and informs others about its importance. This day was created in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter to honor this founding principle of the United States economy, that gives Americans the right to make their own economic choices with minimal government interference. On this day, FBLA members dressed up in business attire and passed out mints to fellow students. Our FBLA advisers, Mrs. Jones, and Mrs. Lawton gave candy bags to Spring Valley faculty that promoted the FBLA business Viking Awards. Viking Awards creates high-quality plaques and awards. The proceeds from Viking Awards is used to fund the travels, competition fees, and activities for FBLA members. The Spring Valley FBLA Chapter enjoyed celebrating this day, and we look forward to honoring this day next year.
