Math Tutoring Galore & Web-Based Program ALEKS

Is your child struggling with a new concept in Algebra 1?  Has math frequently been his/her Achilles heel, and he/she needs consistent tutoring  support?  A highly qualified math tutor is available in the Spring Valley Media Center to help your child at 8:00 AM and during lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Tutoring for math and other subjects continues to be offered after school on Mondays through Thursdays from 4:00-5:00.

In addition to tutoring ALEKS is available.

ALEKS is a web-based instructional program that provides individualized courses in a variety of math or math related classes.  It can be accessed 24/7 using the Internet.

Students begin with a pre-assessment and then receive instruction based on their individual areas of need.  Courses available include Algebra Readiness, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2 with Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics, Math for College Readiness, Math Intervention, Accounting, Chemistry, and others.  Many courses are now compatible with electronic tablets.

Students can move from one course to another throughout the year, as needed.  A nine month subscription through Spring Valley costs only $35.00, a substantial savings from the website.  Once the registration form and check are received, a student can be enrolled within 24 hours.
