JV Football
Thursday, Oct. 24th, the JV football team defeated Ridge View 34-31. The captains for the game were; Jaron Ricks on offense and Alston Adams on defense.

The scoring for the Vikings began on a 1 yard Ty'Juan Fulton run. Several good option reads and runs by quarterback Kevin Owens made the touchdown possible. Later, Fulton scored again from the two yard line. On the next possession, Kevin Owens scored from the five yard line on a five yard run. Owens then connected later to Fulton on a 50 yard pass reception. Late in the 4th, with about 1:15 seconds left, RV scored to take the lead, 31-28. Owens hit Jaron Ricks on the hook and ladder, and he pitched it to Fulton coming out of the backfield. He took 45 yards and was tackled at the 5. It was Kristion Glover that took it in for the final touchdown in the last waning seconds of the game to pull ahead. After the kickoff, Glover again rose to the occasion for a critical interception to seal the victory. Defensively, Pope, Kieth, and Howard had some great tackles. Ty'Juan Fulton had an interception on defense as well.
