On Saturday, October 4, Spring Valley High School participated in Columbia College Math and Science Day for High School Girls. It was a stellar day for our young ladies, as they swept the competition against nine other schools. Our school was represented by Jenning Chen, Surabhi Poola, and Vinita Cheepurupalli. Jenning placed first in the mathematics written competition. This award carries with it a four-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per year upon matriculation at Columbia College. Our team placed first in the Problem Solving Competition and the Jeopardy Competition. Congratulations to these dedicated young ladies!
