Volleyball Competes in Thunder in the Valley Tournament
Varsity Football
The varsity boys football team lost a close game to White Knoll HS 13-7 this past Friday. The Vikings got on the board with a 7 yd TD run by QB Ryan Lee and an extra point by Cooper Gresham. Cooper had 2 punts for a 42 yd average. Defensively De'Marcus Mucsove had an interception on a tip from Tyler Frazier to stop a White Knoll drive. Davon Keith and Jordan Williams had outstanding games sacking the WK QB and pressuring him all game. Ja"Lon Williams and Tyler Frazier also played well on defense. The Vikings begin region play this Friday against Blythewood HS. The Vikings are now 4-2 on the season.
Volleyball
Saturday's Thunder in the Valley Volleyball Tournament was a great success at Spring Valley for all the teams. Starting with the Lady Vikings varsity. They finished third in Pool Play and placed 7th in the Silver Division. While JV placed fourth in Pool Play and 11th in the Bronze Division.
Overall, the Gold Division, Gray Collegiate Academy came in first followed by Lexington in Silver and Columbia High taking Bronze. Congratulations to all the teams! Great team work by all who helped to make this a success tournament!
