The Lady Viking Track & Field team competed in 4A State Meet this past Friday and Saturday. We were entered in only 7 of 17 events, and our final placement was 7th (tied with Dutch Fork) in the state. Some highlights include:
- Christian Hithe (All-State) WINNING the high jump at 5'6"
- Lanesa Mahon (All-State) placed 7th in the 100m dash with a time of 12.32
- Kennay Agnew (All-State) places 3rd in the 400m dash with at time of 55.63
- Claudia Cannon (All-State) placed 4th in both the 800m run and the 1 mile, giving the team 10 points
- Alex Stephens placed 7th in the discus throw with a 104'
- The 4x400m (All-State) relay team -Miya Freeman, Mikayla Turner, Christian Hithe, and Kennay Agnew- ran a blazing 3:55 and placed 4th.
We ended the meet with a total of 35 points and another successful season closed. Our coaching staff would like to sincerely express our thanks to Mr. Temoney, Tim Hunter, Teresa Legette, and all of our SVH family for the continued support.
