JV Football
Last night the JV football team defeated Lexington 34-0. The team was lead by Quinard Cox and Jacquez Bostic. 

Some of the highlights include Alex Hererra 5 yard touchdown, Jacques Bostic fumble recovery on defense, Isaiah Miller tackle for a loss, a pass breakup by Darrion Jennings, Alex Hagler 20 yard touchdown run, Sean Wiley on an interception, an 80 yard Alex Hagler touchdown run, great blocking by Jaden Gardner to spring Hagler, and another Alex Hererra touchdown from 36 yards out. 

Volleyball
Spring Valley JV and Varsity defeated Irmo last night for our 2nd region win for the season! 
JV swept the Yellow Jackets in 2 games; 25-9, 25-6. Special shout out to Freshman Alisha Pitt with 5 kills and Freshman Erin Byrd for starting off game 2 with 9 straight Serves. Varsity experienced some growing pains throughout the match but pulled out a WIN in 5 games; 25-23, 25-11, 18-25, 20-25, 16-14.

Our next region match will be against Riverbluff next Tuesday at Riverbluff; JV 5:30, Varsity 7:00pm. Good luck to our JV team tomorrow as they head out to Lexington to compete in the JV Wildcat Invitational! Go Vikings!!

Swim Teams 
The boys and girls Viking swim teams had their first home dual meet against Irmo last night.  The boys won 108-61 with the girls having a tough loss of 75- 95. 
Double winners were:  Jonathan Frye (200 IM, 100Breast), Alex Gregg (50, 100 Free), Caroline Agostini (200 Free, 100 Back), and Anna Frye (400 Free, 100 Breast).
Single winners were: Dan Todd (100 Fly), Thomas Gunnlaugsson (100 Back) and Kelsey Green (200 IM). 

The boys won the 200 Free (Gregg, Staudt, Kaplan, Frye) and 400 Free (Gregg, Gunlaugsson, Kaplan, Todd) relays.  The girls won the 200 medley relay (Agostini, Frye, Greene, Lobitz).
The Vikings will be at home again at the Woodlands Country Club on Tuesday against Lexington HS at 5:30 pm to include senior night.
