Last night, the girls soccer team improved to 4-2 on the season with a 3-0 win at Lugoff-Elgin (region record now stands at 1-0).  The team played well, and Angie Downs netted the first goal of the game on a beautiful left-footed shot with a few minutes left to play in the first half.  In the second half, Cierra Smith made a 60-yard run from the back to send a cross that Angie headed in for her second goal.  Morgan Molosso concluded the scoring on a goal that was also assisted by Angie.  Freshman Alex Ramos started and played most of the game in goal after starter Bayleigh Ponds missed the game due to sickness. Alex made one outstanding save in the first half to preserve a 0-0 tie at the time.  Kristina Woodford finished the match in goal.
